We got our first snow of the winter yesterday, it started snowing about 11 AM and snowed most of the day and into the night before it turned into a light rain.

This morning the birds were out hunting for seed to fight the cold.

This tiny bird is a year round resident here in NW Oregon but it is rare that I get a good quality shot of this fast moving little critter. The fact that it prefers to live in coniferous forests where the lighting is dim is always a disadvantage to capturing a good image.
